Project Description: 

Being a prototyping centre with various workshops - (metal, wood, pcb, plastics and composites, 3d printing etc) it became important for TWorks to house a material library for designers to visit and explore material finishes and new material options to chose and study from before arriving at a final decision for prototype design. From initially proposing the material library to designing the space and its experience I am leading this particular project within T Works.

Tasks: 

Various members of the team are involved in populating the material library repository whereas I was involved in designing the space making it visually appealing and accessible. The challenge was to design it in a very small space (500 Sqft). Hence we developed two types of display mechanisms which could stack the materials easily on rails or rotate them around. This would give the display a dynamic feel with never the same materials being on the face of the mechanism at different times of the day.
